Hi, I’m Rose. My mission is to foster a genuine connection between audiences and brands, infusing their ethos, values, and distinctive voice into original content.

While earning a B.A. in political science and gender studies at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX, I discovered my love of marketing while working for my campus newspaper, the North Texas Daily.
I joined the paper as a volunteer opinion writer and was promoted to Opinion Section Editor after two months. I later shifted my focus from creative writing to marketing, accepting a position in Ad Sales and Marketing for the very same paper. This was followed by roles such as Marketing Specialist for Opening Doors International Services and Brand and Project Manager for Childs Cup Full.
This is the story of how I fell in love with copywriting, scriptwriting, and creative directing for businesses and organizations looking to increase brand awareness locally and grow a following on social media. -
After graduating college, I accepted a role as a Social Media Assistant with One Oh Inc. After a few months working part-time, I accepted a full-time position as their in-house Social Media Specialist.
This is where I thrived scripting viral content, providing stage direction remotely, and managing social media strategy.
Under my guidance, the @vanessaandxander Instagram account surged from 200,000 to 510,000 followers in a year—a 155% growth.
Notably, I propelled the @vanessaandxander TikTok account from 15,000 to 213,000 followers—a staggering 1320% surge —culminating in the first
viral "Get Ready With Me" video, setting a benchmark for our account's
success. -
I am dedicated to expanding my knowledge of scriptwriting, producing, and social media strategy by growing my client list and engaging in continued education.
By actively participating in commercial and independent movie production as a Production Assistant with Holocene Productions and enrolling in Austin School of Film's certificate program, I have been able to learn how to effectively connect with a variety of audiences through different mediums.
I am excited to continue my journey as a lifelong learner and support the creative direction and marketing efforts of small businesses in Austin, Texas and beyond.
Why Marketing?
I feel truly at home as a scriptwriter, creative director, and marketing consultant. This is because marketing enables me to merge my creative capabilities with my strategic skillset. Think of a chess player who disarms their opponent with jokes and personal anecdotes, or one of those elephants who can paint with their trunk — but this elephant paints with metrics and SEO in mind.
Degrees and Certifications
While earning my B.A. in Political Science and Gender Studies at the University of North Texas, I worked for our campus newspaper as Opinion Section Editor as well as a Marketing Consultant. Additionally, I volunteered for Opening Doors International Services as a Marketing Specialist, and completed a 150-hour internship for Childs Cup Full as a Brand and Marketing Manager.
As a post-grad, I earned my Clickworthy Copywriting Certification, as well as enrolled in Austin School of Film’s Digital Video Certificate Program where I’ve studied screenwriting, audio editing, as well as shooting and film development with a Super 8 camera.
Personal Creative Pursuits
Outside of my professional marketing work, I prioritize creativity in my free time. Whether it’s watercoloring, writing screenplays, learning how to develop film and shoot with a Super-8 camera at Austin School of Film, or photographing friends and family — and this one enormous, extremely well-fed crow that’s always landing on my fence — I believe my independent creative pursuits fuel my passion as a writer, inspire original ideas as a marketer, and most importantly, inform my perspective as a lover of art.
